Remember. Honor. Learn.
Welcome to the Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument. The monument stands as a permanent tribute to the Texans who answered the nation’s call during the Vietnam War, a perpetual honor of their commitment and valor, and an abiding reminder of the lessons they have to teach us – lessons born from Texas blood spilled in the soil of Vietnam.
It is intended to be a “living monument” that includes an online educational archive of veterans stories, photos and videos that will officially preserve the history of Texans in the Vietnam War. The full monument experience also includes other social and interactive features such as online discussions and reflections, user-submitted personal accounts and tributes, interactive maps, and the mobile video tour you are using at this very moment.
